I would rather end up with someone who sees through the beauty of words, not necessarily, exactly the way I do, but for the basic parts, the fundamentals. For example, the beauty and grandeur of the words: "I love you."

AN OPEN LETTER TO THE ONCE MISUNDERSTOOD MAN

"It's not Aria that I don't trust. It's the rest of the world. You know what I mean."
-Byron Montgomery, PLL

Probably, for the countless fights and the sleepless nights full of desolation that we had, I have gathered up the sum of the things that I wanted to understand but couldn't. Questions that I've been longing to ask you, but wouldn't.

Maybe the truth is, I've been stubborn enough to dig in deeper and find out what's enclosed to your iron fists. You know why? Because, I was thinking that you can't understand me; that we took two extreme routes while growing up; that you were not as hurt as I was. That it was way TOO MUCH.

How foolish. How selfish.

For such a long time, I've been trying to put your guidance through the wringer because I wanted to fathom every single thing while I was growing up. BUT yes, I can always find you winning. I will always be tossed to the right lane and be forced to yield, simply because. What is the sense of calling you my father then, right?
At the end of each painful day of chastening, I will always find myself confessing my faults; humbled and exposed to my wrongdoings.

I CAN SEE IT FROM YOUR END. By and by.
I am sorry that you have been misunderstood. For the times when all I cared about is to push my selfish ways.

This part right here, I will have to thank you.
The truth is, you were the first one to see me cry over a heartbreak. You have felt the need of guidance under the pouring of my emotions. You were the one who offered me help in times that I'm losing my sanity. You, together with mom, took me by the hand when I was hanging by a cliff. You did it because of one thing I'm certain of: LOVE.
EVERYTHING WITH PRAYER AND BY THE GRACE OF GOD.

Thank you for everything and I thank the good Lord for having you as my father.

Please know this:
For a lot of people, you might have left the impression of being the Modern Hitler or the greatest villain in my life during my college years, but for me, you're my father. The one who only wants the best for me.

A father who fears that her daughter would be eaten up by the world that surrounds her.

Probably you can say this to me:

"It's not you that I don't trust, darling. It's the rest of the world. You know what I mean."

Yes, I do. And I love you.

Written in delay. Because it can be father's day everyday. :-)

FIRST DAY, SECOND SEMESTER

Get a pair that's tailored for floods

Old folks talk a lot. This is one I ought to love.

The clock ticked slow.

First class for the opening of the second semester was Media Ethics and Libel Law. You can practically feel something fierce with the subject name itself- something that might get you into serious trouble in the near future. I was actually expecting a terror professor to handle this subject--I was actually expecting my Philippine Government Constitution professor way back my freshman year, not saying that I was actually a cliffhanger all the way through. Define trauma.

But it seems to work out in a way contrary from what I am expecting. For this subject, I will have Ms. Alice Colet Villadolid. She shares she's the careful type of person. I suppose she is, and she will with regards to her grading system. I can see she's nice. Oh, please? I will strive the hardest for this. Despite all my pet peeves in memorization.

Today:

  • It rained so hard that I have to brave Dapitan's streets and get drenched. Umbrella seemed to be invisible. I even went to school in flip flops
  • Pigged out with my roommates at Wok, Dapitan. We even made a lame Vlog. For our eyes only.
  • Got the wifi back. Yaay!
  • Currently watching: Iron Man ;-) Okay, late bloomer. But, better late than never.
  • Will be pulling out an all-nighter.

Just a foto with bad exposure. My notes earlier. :-))

THE GAME IS ON

I've never been the one who's up-to-date with books. What I mean to say is that, it is unusual for me to get a newly released book that's still hot on the tracks. Unless if it's a tray of Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Ha!

As far as I know, Suzanne Collins's The Hunger Games (first book of the trilogy) was released on the year 2008 and I was never aware of it since last August *kill me now* when Mockingjay (third book) became the talk of the town.

I've read a lot of good reviews about the book and how the story interests me.

So after all those Googling and stuff, I decided to get myself a copy this morning before going to National Lib for thesis and even asked one of my friends to buy his own (on this same day LOL) so that we can both read the series and race till Mockingjay.

And this is my lunch:

The Tuna Thing from BreadTalk (I forgot the name, sarreh. I skipped Floss today LOL);
Oishi Smart C+ Pomelo ;
the new buddy next to Chbosky's (which I finished reading last week)
and what made me the happiest is Hall and Oates's You Make My Dreams (from 500 DoF OST) that was played

One good way to feed your appetite ;-)

Stark once said he can fly after testing the suit's capabilities.
Then, Sir, I have to tell you this: You're flight is my desire.

QWERTY

It's been a week since I last wrote something on my blogger and to think that a lot had happened for the past 7 days. I was thinking of a lot of things to post here that I don't even know where to start-- an architectural blog, something about my new journal, transcripts, Joseph Gordon-Levitt (JGL), dreams, and lots for my uncanny thoughts. Labo,eh.

Anyways, today wasn't that grand or whatsoever. It's just that... it's Wednesday- my favorite day. And because of my love fiyah, I'll be writing down a recap of it. :-)

K, then:

1. My time to prep up for school (3 hours, no exaggiz) is quite longer than the time that I stayed in school (an hour?). You get me?
FYI, I only have one class every Wednesday-- Sports Journalism at 12nn-3p.m. So awhile ago, I was kinda expecting that we'll be discussing some stuff about our UAAP/PBA article that's due today. And to think that we din't get to meet last Wednesday 'cause it's our exam week, I was also expecting that we'll be catching up on stuff.

But then, on my way to school, I got an SMS which says, "Dumaan na si Ma'am. Umalis na. Nagpa-pass lang ng article." And I was like, "Naman, sayang sa uniform. Pero okz na din." Hee.

2. I went to the lib to check if they have Prozac Nation by Elizabeth Wurtzel but unfortunately, they ain't got any /sadface.

3. My roommates and I were eyeballing through Little J.'s (a.k.a Taylor Momsen) wasted-ness around the interweb. We all hate her now. :-( People change. And some of 'em have changed for the worse. Or I say, worst na? Poor thing. I won't be posting the proofs here. No. Just check it yourself.

4. Nylon Mag/TV is love . Man, their site is full of rad stuff! I'm so manic over all of them!

5. The dorm's intarnet connection is in it's full blast since last night. This is history,yo! LOL 'cause they usually cut it off at midnight or earlier than that. Our landlady is so good by not turning the router off. Thanksthanks, miszmalditazz_o9! Hahaha, this
is how we call our landlady here.

So there, another lame post. I'm bouncing to read my handouts for
Literary Criticism now.

Tata! :-)

Oya, that was taken awhile ago before going to school. (1) I was tryna edit my article for the better but... ugh. I'm not really good in sports writing. But hey, I'm trying! :-)) (2) And look at my fringe! I had it cut yesterday. It's still annoying-straight! I never liked rebonded bangs, srsly.
