IT'S LIKE RAIN

I woke up laid down on the saltwater bed I made last night.

This misty morning made me tiptoe my way to the bathroom to look at my swollen-by-waterworks eyes. I think I was brave enough to stare at my face longer than usual to mull over how hurt it seems to show. How it has been the basis of my status. Life has become bleak these days.

But no matter how distressed I am, no matter how heavy my eyes are, I don't have any reason not to thank God for giving me another day to live and get by.

“Run your fingers through my soul. For once, just once, feel exactly what I feel, believe what I believe, perceive as I perceive, look, experience, examine, and for once; just once, understand.”
